Bioraid Fughógach / Thrum Hat

A type of hat that was very common in 16th century Ireland. It was also worn by sailors in other countries. In style it is of the same shape as the Bioraid but made extra warm by the addition of pieces of wool. Known as a Thrum hat in English.
